The State Tourism Agency and Azerbaijan Tourism Board, in collaboration with 24 representatives from the tourism industry and Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) CJSC, participated in "SATTE 2025", held in New Delhi, India.
With participation from 50 countries, 28 national tourism bureaus, and over 2,000 industry representatives, Azerbaijan showcased its culinary heritage, ski resorts, wine tourism, wellness tourism, ecotourism, winter tourism, and various other tourism products.
To introduce visitors to Azerbaijani gastronomy, the national stand featured traditional sweets and Azerbaijani tea, offering guests a chance to explore the country’s rich culinary traditions.
The Ambassador of Azerbaijan to India, Elchin Huseynli, visited the Azerbaijani pavilion, showing support for the country’s presence at the event.
Recognized as South Asia’s leading travel trade exhibition, SATTE serves as a key platform for strengthening Azerbaijan’s position in the Indian market, establishing connections with industry leaders, and exploring new cooperation opportunities.
In January 2025, the number of Indian tourists visiting Azerbaijan reached 17,073, marking a 68% increase compared to January 2024.
Overall, the number of South Asian travelers to Azerbaijan in 2024 totaled 335,727, representing a remarkable 85% growth compared to 2023.
